Network Cost breakdown

Chain's first chart (in US$ terms):

  • Green area: Inflation produced per block, as % of $1;
  • White area: Transaction fees accepted per block, as % of $1.

Chain's second chart (in coin terms):

  • Green area: Inflation produced per block, as % of 1 coin;
  • White area: Transaction fees accepted per block, as % of 1 coin.

Network Cost breakdown explained

Very similar to the section on the block reward, graphed above is the historical miner block reward—which is a "cost" for the rest of us—breakdown of inflation versus transaction fees, on a percentage basis, or "per 1 unit." First we look at how this has evolved per 1 US dollar, and secondly per 1 native coin of the network.

Again, though at present block revenue is almost 100% inflation, this is not projected to always be so, based on the protocols.
